Big gift. Small chip-ins.
Planning a group birthday gift? Share one atpesa.me wish link so friends can chip in directly, with a message and an amount that suits them.

“What are we getting Sam?”
Twenty messages later, you’ve picked three different gifts and nobody knows who’s buying what. Meanwhile, Sam has been talking about the same headphones for months.
One wish. A few friends. Everyone chips in what works for them.
Start with their wishlist
Ask the birthday person for their atpesa.me link. If they haven’t made a page yet, send them the birthday wishlist guide. They add the gift, a photo and a target, then share that wish’s link.
The page should belong to the person receiving the gift, with their own receiving details set up. Contributions go through their page. Each friend can give directly towards the same wish.
Send this to the group chat
“Sam finally admitted which headphones they want 😂 Here’s the wish link. Chip in whatever works for you and leave a birthday message. I’m doing mine now.”
Follow that with the copied wish link. It opens the specific gift, so everyone knows what they’re chipping in for. They choose an amount, add a message and use the available payment option. No atpesa account needed to give.
The wish shows progress from confirmed contributions. There’s no need to collect everyone’s screenshots to work out how far the gift has come.
Let the birthday person say it too
Some friends need the direct version.
Friend — “Can I just add something towards your gift?”
Sam — “Yes! atpesa me towards the headphones. Any amount you’re comfortable with. Here’s the link 🎧”
Nobody needs to match the biggest contribution. A good message counts for something too. Keep the group invitation easy to say yes to, and easy to sit out.
Finish with a proper thank-you
Once the gift is sorted, the page owner can mark the wish complete. A photo or update when the headphones arrive gives the chat its happy ending.
atpesa collects money towards the wish. It doesn’t order or deliver the item. Targets should leave room for payment deductions, and payouts normally take two working days. Read the current payout details and share early if the gift needs to be ready for a party.
This works for a graduation gift, a birthday dinner or a friend’s first guitar too. Pick something they want. Send the link. Let everyone bring their little bit of love.
